- CodeLobster - (Free Version) - Source Code Editor - I sprang for the professional version but they have a totally free fully functional version available for download as well. For editing any/all types of code editing. It's got a real neat code formatting function that keeps your code making sense by indenting the code in a special way. It also has limited script debugging functions as well! If I have a complicated coding session ahead of me then I'll usually choose to 'cut' the code out of where I'm getting it from and insert it into CodeLobster to edit it. Then when I'm all done then I'll use the code formatting function and then 'paste' the source code looking all clean and well though out (formatted nicely) back to where I got it from and save my work.
- FileZilla - (The Free FTP Solution) - FTP File Transfer Application - This is truly the best FTP (file transfer protocol) application that I've ever used - and it's FREE! It works just great in combination with CodeLobster (above) as in all you have to do is right click a file you want to edit located on the server side and choose 'View/Edit' and BOOM, CodeLobster pops up with the file pre-loaded for editing and when you save that file then FileZilla asks you if you want to update the file on the server.
- Pixlr Online Image Editor (Free) - Image Manipulation Application - I used to be a big PhotoShop fan (and I still am to an extent) Even with PhotoShop available to me I usually find myself simply clicking on my Pixlr bookmark to have all of the professional image editor features available to me in a split second - quick and easy image editing!
I find all of these tools invaluable for my every day coding needs: (...and I'm not getting paid to cite these particular tools - lol - I wish)
